Abstract: With the improvement of the development speed of China's IT industry, a product with Chinese characteristics - micro module data center came into being. Based on this, this paper briefly discusses the disadvantages of the traditional new data center and the advantages of the micro module, and expounds the construction and development of the micro module data center in order to improve the overall efficiency of the data center.

1 Disadvantages of traditional data center
There is a strong coupling between the system planning and construction of the traditional data center and the operation state of the infrastructure. Building restricts the development of the data center and makes it difficult to build and operate the data in the later period. The main shortcomings are as follows. The construction period is long. In the past, the construction of data center included summary, preparation and operation. In combination with the actual situation of the project, the data center needs more fixed content, resulting in a long project construction cycle. If construction changes and business requirements cannot be estimated, the construction cycle of the data center will be extended . The scalability is not strong. In the construction of data center, expansion capability is very important. In the past, the data center construction plan needed to evaluate the enterprise production and business development in the next ten years, but the actual work could not predict the future business development. In the case of excessive construction of computer rooms and low utilization of infrastructure, business interruption may occur when expanding business, increasing economic costs. High energy consumption. A large amount of power consumption may be caused when the data center is running. In the past, the power consumption management of the data center could not achieve optimal management. Usually, the computer hardware, cooling system and lighting equipment often have improved energy efficiency consumption indicators.
2 Advantages of Micromodule Data Center
2.1 Flexible expansion
The micro module data center has the advantages of rapid deployment, reduced planning time, increased design and construction speed, and shortened construction cycle. It does not require high project site selection, and only needs water, electricity and network. At the same time, the computer room and various project plans are decoupled from each other, which can not only be closely linked, but also work separately, improving the efficiency of project construction. The micro module data center has clear requirements for building construction. After the main infrastructure construction of the project is completed, the relevant modules of the data center can deploy the next step according to the actual situation. In addition, the modular data center can scientifically configure the system structure according to the design scheme to improve the speed of planning and design. For example, by reducing the delivery time through mass production of modules, not only the construction efficiency is improved, but also the products can be tested after the production is completed, realizing system debugging and unified standards, improving the efficiency of troubleshooting, and reducing the workload of infrastructure construction. In a word, the micromodular data center can realize power supply. It has the advantages of flexible expansion and batch replication when installing, upgrading and moving modules, and does not need to be redesigned.
2.2 Cost saving
During the operation of the micro module data center, the power cost control function is very powerful. The micro module data center has independent work and maintenance space, and adopts standardized interfaces. The infrastructure is also planned in this form. When IT equipment is added to the data center, it can be further expanded to unify power supply, cooling and actual load, reduce equipment deployment time, improve work efficiency, save energy consumption and reduce costs. In addition, the modular data center is equipped with air conditioners to cooperate with the closed channel to complete the sealed cold and hot channels, so that the near heat source part can directly supply air and shorten the air flow path. 2.3 Intelligent management
The micro module data center has an intelligent management and centralized monitoring system, which can monitor and centrally manage data in real time to ensure the reliable operation of the data center. Among them, the monitoring system is mainly oriented to the infrastructure of the micro module data center, such as real-time monitoring of the operation status of refrigeration, power distribution, security and other subsystems. Hierarchical structure is used in the monitoring process, which is divided into data acquisition, calculation, processing and intelligent management platforms. It can collect and process equipment, accessories, operating environment and other data in real time, realize the management of the data room, and improve the openness and practicality of the micro module data center. The intelligent management system conducts hierarchical and other refined management of the data room, uses accurate data analysis to determine energy consumption, and then develops management plans to achieve intelligent management.
3 Construction of micro module data center
3.1 Overall composition
If the micro module central machine room is built, it needs to be composed of multiple structures, such as server cabinet, skylight, inter column air conditioner, top trunking and base. In terms of the overall system, the micro module central machine room can be divided into refrigeration system, fire protection system, structural system and monitoring system . The refrigeration system uses inter column precision air conditioner; The fire protection system is composed of fire access control, skylight magnetic lock and smoke detector, which is controlled by the data center machine room to complete fire fighting and other actions; The structural system adopts the method of sealing the cold and hot channels of double row cabinet; The monitoring system realizes 24-hour monitoring and dynamic energy consumption display, and completes the combination with the upper cloud management system. In addition, there are infrared intrusion, access control, video surveillance and other prevention technologies.
3.2 Micro module electrical system
Power distribution system. In order to improve the practicability of the micro module data center, the power distribution system uses the form of two-way mains power input to convert ATS into UPS and then connect it to the IT cabinet. In addition, mains power can be directly introduced into the IT cabinet to ensure that all IT loads in the server cabinet are provided with a UPS power supply, which meets the power requirements of the computer room. In order to improve the performance and practicability of the micro module, the power supply uses a modular UPS configuration. PDU。 It is often installed in the server cabinet to provide power for IT equipment. Generally, a 3 kW PDU is sufficient, and two AC PDUs are installed in each server cabinet.
Grounding. During the grounding of the micro module, it is necessary to ensure the safety of the operators and the normal operation of the equipment. In the micro module, the important components (such as metal conductors) in the main components such as the power supply should be equivalently connected. In the process of external grounding, the machine room shall be grounded, the base grounding points shall be collected, and the two-color single core insulated flexible cables shall be used for connection. It is worth noting that the cables in all cabinets shall meet the national standards to ensure the safety of the electrical system.
Lighting. Flat LED lighting tools are installed in the module data center, generally on the top side of the cold channel, with the illumination degree greater than 500 lx, to meet the lighting needs of the staff when working.
3.3 Micromodule refrigeration system
Air distribution. In the micro module, the air conditioning system, power cabinet and UPS cabinet form a closed channel to isolate cold and hot air. The micro module data center generally uses horizontal air for cooling, with air supply on both sides of the front, and the front air supply angle is less than 90 °. If the cold air is close to the heat source, the air supply distance can be shortened, the airflow can be reduced, the pressure loss and cold air leakage can be avoided, and the resource utilization rate can be improved.
Inter column air conditioning. The inter column air conditioner in the data center has many features: (1) It is installed on the back for easy filter replacement; (2) Temperature control by wind; (3) Set up an independent control system, with LCD panel to display parameters such as air supply temperature, air volume, wind direction and operation status; (4) With memory function, if the air conditioner is powered off abnormally, it will return to the previous operating state after being switched on; (5) Realize the interconnection of multiple air conditioners, group control, overall sleep and operation, etc. Each equipment has a unified controller, which can be controlled uniformly; (6) There is a warning system in the air conditioner, which can actively warn in case of failure, abnormal power failure, abnormal temperature, etc; (7) Dynamic refrigeration, which can change rapidly, adapt to the load of the machine room, reduce the number of compressor stops, and improve the stability of the air conditioning operation; (8) The electronic expansion valve is used to ensure the normal operation of the variable capacity compressor.
3.4 Fire fighting system
The function of the fire protection system in the data center is to detect fire, send alarm and equipment linkage, etc. It is composed of fire access control box, skylight magnetic lock and smoke detector. The smoke detector is installed on the upper side of the closed cold channel, the magnetic lock of the sunroof is installed on the sunroof, and the fire access control box is installed on the top of the micro module. Control power supply and operation power supply shall also be added to the fire-fighting equipment, which shall be controlled by the data center. If a large amount of smoke appears at a certain point in the data center, the micro module can detect the smoke and report information to the controller department of the data center machine room. The fire access control box sends a warning signal to the monitoring system to generate an alarm. At this time, the automatic system cuts off the power supply of the sunroof magnetic lock, opens the sunroof, closes the air conditioner, and the fire sprinkler extinguishes the fire.
In addition, the micro module puts forward several requirements for the fire protection system in the data center. Most of the equipment in the data center are electronic products, which may cause serious consequences if water enters. Therefore, gas shall be placed in the fire sprinkler in the machine room to reduce losses, which is generally completed by the owner. When multiple micro modules work together, the centralized fire extinguishing system can be used to combine with the fire protection of the data center to improve the fire protection efficiency. All equipment in the fire protection system shall meet the relevant standards of the local fire bureau to ensure the durability and safety of the equipment.
4 Development of Micromodule Data Center
The construction of micro modules in the data center has accelerated the government enterprise market into the cloud computing era. With the development of IT industry, more and more enterprises have established data centers. Even for small and medium-sized enterprises, data centers are becoming more mature. Government departments began to attach importance to the construction of data centers, and tried to cooperate with IT enterprises to establish cloud computing data centers centered on the city, provide cloud services for small and medium-sized enterprises, and turn cloud computing from the conceptual stage to the practical stage. As the main department using cloud computing services, the data center tends to be centralized with the continuous development of technology. Micro module data center is a new type of deployment under this background. In addition, the main feature of cloud computing is flexible expansion, which is an important part of completing the elastic deployment of the data center. Due to the large demand for IT during the construction of micro module data center, and the new technology in IT industry often comes from the Internet, China's large Internet enterprises are once again in the forefront of the industry. At present, the construction of micro modules in multi tier data centers has gradually become an important direction of data center exploration in China.
